Repairing a leaking hot water heater

Emergency repair of a leaking hot water heater

It was a spring evening in March. It was 9:08 p.m. The phone rang at the 24 Center customer service center. The caller was a gentleman from Mikkeli whose daughter's home was leaking water. The situation was acute because the daughter was out of town and there was no one at home. A plumber was urgently needed. The man had already tried to call a few places, but no one had answered him until late at night.

A customer service representative at 24 Center told me that a plumber would be there within an hour. He quickly took down the customer and item information, and thanked the customer.

After 10 minutes, the customer received a call from a plumber, who was already on his way to a destination some distance away in a rural area. The customer gave the plumber the necessary specifications and asked if the plumber could feed the house cats at the same time.

The installer arrived on site and quickly fixed the problem. There was no need to replace the boiler, as the fault was in the hot water pipe of the boiler, which was easy to repair. The customer received a call from the installer within an hour of his first call to 24 Center, telling him that the problem had been solved and the hot water heater was fine. Relieved, he was able to go to bed well in advance. The best part was that his daughter didn't have to stress about it during a holiday trip.

24 Center's invoice to the customer was:

Labour contribution: 495,00 e
Alert premium: 267,00 e
Accessories: 28,28 e
Total: 790,28 e

The customer was very satisfied with the unique building services provided by 24 Center. He gave both the customer service representative and the installer a perfect score of 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. The willingness to recommend was also 10. As a verbal feedback the customer formulated. Good and prompt service. The fault was fixed immediately at night and the installer called afterwards to explain what he had done. Even took care of feeding the cats when he left. Both the alarm attendant and the installer who came to the site handled the job with professionalism. I understand that for an emergency call-out job like that, prices can be higher than normal work, but that's a pretty expensive billing. Nevertheless, getting professional help is important, so I personally don't criticise the price any more."
