24 Center and Veolia work together for a more sustainable society

Circular economy - a much-heard word, and not for nothing. As consumption needs grow with urbanisation, now is the time when we must learn to adapt to the limits of the earth's carrying capacity. We need to find new growth models that put the circular economy at the forefront.

The circular economy is based on the reuse of natural resources: materials are not disposed of in nature, but recycled and used to make new products. 24 Center wants to be part of this development.

We have found a reliable partner to help us recycle, Veolia Recycling Solutions Finland Oy, a subsidiary of the French giant Veolia. Veolia is one of the world's leading recycling companies, with thousands of employees around the world helping municipalities, businesses and individuals to move towards a circular economy. Thanks to its long experience, Veolia has the ability to innovate to drive development forward, helping society and business to reduce the climate impact of their operations.

24 Center strives for full transparency in the recycling of materials, such as scrap metal from pipe work, and hopes that its partners will follow the same approach. Waste generated on site is always taken for recycling to specialised recycling points, from where it continues its journey to further processing plants and back to new materials and energy.

Veolia accepts all kinds of scrap metal, from frying pans to copper pipes. The daily price per kilo for scrap metal is paid on the spot, either in cash or directly to your bank account!

Can the drain withstand boiling water?

Modern drains can usually withstand boiling water well, and the occasional spill of hot water will not cause immediate damage. Plastic PVC pipes can withstand temperatures of around 60-80°C, and boiling water temperatures drop below 50°C within seconds of being poured down the drain. The safest method is to run cold water at the same time and pour it slowly in small batches. In older properties, be more careful and contact a professional if you notice leaks, unusual noises or slow draining.
