There are more benefits than just cooling, for example, using an air-source heat pump can reduce the amount of energy used to heat your home in winter. In practice, the greatest benefit can be gained from a pump in an electrically heated detached or terraced house, where energy costs are highest.
Summer is coming again and many people will remember the hot spells of previous summers, especially if their house or apartment has no cooling system. You've had to sweat and roll around in bed at night when you couldn't sleep because it was too hot.

As a rule of thumb, a good heating and cooling unit for a dwelling of less than 150 square metres will cost around €2000 - €4000 when installed. When installing an air-source heat pump, consider at least the following:
